Person 1 Female Why did you decide to come to college? To make something out of my life and get a career so I can support my future family. What made you pick Bloomsburg? I commute so it is a perfect distance from home and it’s a good school. How did you choose your major? I had a teacher who inspired me in fourth grade and ever since, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. What are three important things you think should be included in an elementary classroom? Carpet space for circle time, Smart board, mini library for books Would you hang educational things around your room? For example posters? Yes, I think it is a great way for kids to look around the room for answers. Person 2 Male Why did you decide to come to college? To get a degree and better my chances at finding a job. What made you pick Bloomsburg? A football scholarship and the area made me choose bloom. How did you choose your major? I interact with people well and I like to help the youth in school/sports. What are three important things you think should be included in an elementary classroom? Desks, posters for inspiring the kids. Also a sport activity where they are able to shoot a basket or catch a “soft” football if they answer something correctly. Would you hang educational things around your room? For example posters? Yes I would hang posters around the room because kids would look at them every day. Also they can help the kids pick up on whatever I am teaching.
